Welcome to the Department of Electronics and Telecommunication at K. C. College of Engineering & Management Studies & Research, Thane (E). The Electronics and Telecommunication (EXTC) [UG] course started in year 2001 and it’s been more than a decade that we have grown & nurture our expertise in the core of Electronics & Telecommunication curriculum. The department is well established and having well qualified and experienced staff members. We believe in providing high standards of education for the students. With the pace of today’s technology throughout the world the department offers excellent knowledge, state of the art facilities & resources in the form of well qualified faculties, constantly upgraded well equipped & fully furnished laboratories. The EXTC Department has 12 laboratories with advance instruments and adequate equipments. The department having professional’s chapters as IEEE student chapter, IETE-ISF & ISTE from many years. Every year, we are organizing Industrial Visits, Expert Lectures, Entrepreneurship Training Programme, Training & Placements Activity, Technical Seminars cum Workshops and Technical Festivals (i.e. Robotics, Technical Paper Presentation, Poster Presentation, LAN Gaming, Hardware Design etc.) to upgrade knowledge of students and staff members. Department is also motivating our faculty and students for attend CEP, STTP, SDP, Workshops and Seminars at various Institutes and also motivate students to attend Internship program at various Industry. Also department motivate to faculty members for higher studies, project work, research work and write proposals. Every year, we are organizing farewell, alumni meet, tech-fest, sports and cultural functions. Students of our department are doing their project in house & also at various industries. Our students score very good RANK in University of Mumbai exams and no. of students placed in Govt. / Semi Govt ./ Public Sector / Multi-National Companies (MNC's). Also no. of students getting scholarships from Govt. & various Trusts. Department having very good co-ordination between students and staff members. Students also involve in various social activity.
